Tomorrow is looking like this:

- Blog if the fancy strikes
- Blogger meetup
- Beer or singer/songwriter meetuo OR BOTH!
That’s all you get!
Wednesday September 3, 2008
Holy Cow it’s already been a busy one! Just letting you know that yesterday I didn’t get the wine rack, gardening or writing Kristen done. They’ll get sprinkled in the rest of the week. I’m good with that.
Today, I’ve already…
- worked out
- banked
- went grocery shopping
- laundry
- got gorgeous… (I know I’m ALWAYS gorgeous!)
Still on the agenda
- lunch
- more laundry
- music work for the club
- a little more vacuuming
- work tonight
It never ends!
Tuesday September 2, 2008
So much for “Daily”, huh? I guess it’s time to catch you up. Well, I still have the drum circle video to finish editing and upload from the last DI, hopefully I can get the up today. For the two weeks directly after the last post, not a ton happened. Mostly the day to day grind of work, going to the gym and household chores. I did sprinkle some fun in there. Tai-Chi one Monday evening and out with Matt, et al one night but the weather put the kibosh on my sailing trip. That was kind of a bummer.
Things started picking back up on Saturday the 23rd. That day was an ALL DAY Bar Mitzvah at The Museum of Fine Art in St. Pete. Good time were had by all. These people spent BIG bucks.
The next morning brought about my first foray into PAINTBALL! Pretty damn fun. It was torture, however. It was in the 90’s on a Sunday afternoon and I was running around in jeans, T-shirt and a hoodie. Yeah, it was hot! After that some of the group went out for a late lunch. (I think I’m buying my own paintball gear now!)
The rest of that week was work and such other than going to The Improv on Wednesday night to see Chris Porter from Last Comic Standing. Most definitely hilarious.
This next weekend was Labor Day weekend. After working @ the club on Friday night, I stayed up all night so that I didn’t miss anything. Saturday morning started out with a 15 mile mountain bike ride. (YEAH, you heard right!). The afternoon was spent at Jim and Nancy’s with some friends having a cookout and just chilling in the house since it was storming ALL afternoon. The nighttime brought me to Bar Louie and The Blue Martini for Melissa’s birthday. LONG and fun day. Sunday was an off day. I was supposed to go the CLearwater Beach for a party but Pinellas County was pretty much covered by rain bands from Hurricane Gustav so I stayed near the house. After blasting out the legs on my Thursday workout with Tom and the 15 miles on Saturday, I was more than glad to just veg out. Yesterday was the actual Labor Day. I did some household chores and played basketball with some friends for a couple of hours and then crashed WAY early last night. (Which is why I’m up now.)
What’s with the rest of my day you ask? Here you go…
- laundry
- garden
- vacuum
- paint the wine rack
- go shopping
- write Kristen an email
- write a couple of posts for U.S.
- work on my new food blog, FoodCritique
- go to work
Exciting, huh?
Sunday August 10, 2008
It was a crazy week this last week. Worked ALL week. THAT was the sucky part! (Heh) Yesterday was the first kayak excursion. Can I say Kick Ass! Too much fun. Then last eve was the Soul Mirror drum circle. It was a good, but wet day. The storm on the bay during the kayaking was beautiful, though.
I’m starting off ths day EARLY again. (At least I slept for 5 hours this time!) I’m heading to Crystal river for another kayak paddle with Clau and tonight is the Treasure Island drum circle and I’m taking Jeanine. Gonna be a good day. I’ll have a video for you later.
Wednesday August 6, 2008
This “humpday” will be somewhat different. I haven’t worked an amatuer contest in 10 months!
- Email Kristen (It’s gotta be done.)
- Hit the gym
- Shave the head
- Clean
- Go to the bookstore
- Drum lesson
- Work
- Rent a kayak
Kind of a busy Wednesday.
Tuesday August 5, 2008
It seems that I have been remiss in my blogging. I’ll do a informal recap of the past weeks events. Firstly, Journey ROCKED! The new guy has some great pipes! You shoulda been there. The weekend brought the community drum circle and a concert with Phoenix at the LA Hangout. Kind of a meh sort of night. Sunday was a waste. Had some good plans but woke up late from the JD the night before. Monday was much of the same until I went and had dinner with Jim & Nancy. Enjoyable night over all.
Today was just light cleaning and spending time with the pups before work. One day closer to the weekend, though!
Wednesday July 30, 2008

- Go to the Journey concert!

Tuesday July 29, 2008
First up: The Weekend Recap:
SATURDAY: Shooting guns = KICK ASS! Shot a 9mm and an Uzi. OH YEAH! After the gun range some of TAG went to Quaker Steak & Lube. Good times. Instead of going to the L.A. Hangout I was intercepted by my buddy Matt. It was our friends B-day (Yes the same day as HERS.) so they were going to The Dallas Bull, a country bar. Mind you, I’m as far from country as it gets but it was a damn good time. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BLOCKHEAD!
SUNDAY: This day was disappointing and killer all at the same time. Got up and called the kayak rental place and they were out. Thank goodness I didn’t make the drive. Ten I fell back asleep and missed yoga! That blew. The awesome thing about the day was the drum circle on Treasure Island. 100’s of people drumming, dancing and grooving. AWESOME!
MONDAY: Meh! It was ok. After not a lot during the day I went to Wild Wing Cafe’ for happy hour with some meetup groups. There were some cool peeps there. Some mutants as well. I’m trying to figure out which I was.
That brings us to today. Tuesday brought ups and downs. Going through a little insomnia obviously brought on by depression because SHE was @ the house last week but I found out over the weekend and Tuesday was the day the “normal” week starts. So I had only work to look ‘forward’ to. Got a little down. But I did get some cleaning done and got car insurance. Now, I’m working. WHEE!
Sunday July 27, 2008
We’re looking at another barn-burner here!

Today was just “there”, you know. Not bad, per se, just bleh. Not much happened, but here is where we’re at:
- Up groggily to do yoga this AM. Good times.
- Nothing but napping. (Guess I was tired.)
- Working the night away
Monday July 21, 2008
Gotta say it was a good day. Didn’t get the fastest start to my day. Did a little too much imbibing last night
Today consisted of 2 things
- Dinner and hanging out with Glitch @ lola (Mmmm, chinese)
- Going to see The Dark Knight
My review: It was indeed a entertaining and explosive movie. The story was good, but I found it lacking in many ways.
1. Where Batman Begins was very Bruce Wayne centric, I felt this movie could have had MORE of this character. Now I know that the first movie was the re-telling of his back story so I get it. I just felt like in this movie Batman/Bruce was more of a tool to be used than the main character.
2. The Joker. Liked this character a lot. He was deliciously evil. However he could have been a little more over the top. Not Jack Nicholson’s Joker over the top, but still. I certainly hope this will be a mainstay character in the Batman movies to come. Definitely could have used some more back story to let us see deeper into his madness. THAT would have been nice.
2.1. An aside to the Joker: Firstly I want to say I am NOT a hater of Heath Ledger. I thought he did a phenomenal job with the Joker. Just mad enough to get the job done. The only problem I have with the whole Heath Ledger death thing is that in many reviews he has been canonized with this being his crowning role. That’s just not the case. Where I thought he was good, very good if fact, it wasn’t his best work. I just hate how people raise up those just because they have passed on. Also, many stories of his getting into this role have blamed it for his death and depression. While yes he played an insane character, I don’t feel as though this was that deep of a character to screw you up. Just my 2 cents.
3. Harvey Dent/Two-Face: Great character. Two bad they killed him off in the first movie he was in.
All in all it was a good movie that I will buy when it comes out.

Friday July 18, 2008
Gonna try to have a busy day today. I’m gonna try to make a rigid schedule just to see how productive it may be. On today’s agenda:
- Up @ 9:30
- Meditate 30-45 minutes after taking the dogs out
- Breakfast while checking emails, voice mails, write a blog post (Unless I do at work the previous night.) and getting ready for the bank - 45 min
- Gussy up - 20 min
- Bank run - 15 min
- Shopping for some clothes - 1 hour
- Go to the bookstore - 15 min
- Lunch - 45 min
- Clean & fold - 1 1.2 hr
- Go to work
Now mind you this is subject to change if I decide to go see BATMAN!
—> OK, so THAT didn’t work out as planned! After a FAR TOO LATE night, I have gotten VERY LITTLE done this day. Of the list above, maybe 5 or 6 things got finished. More to do this weekend.

Today isn’t so busy of a day. To be honest, I don’t know if I could be busy. My thighs are killing me from Laser Tag yesterday! Run-squat-run-squat is not my normal days activities. Today is mostly a cleaning day and just chilling out playing games with friends. (By the by, dinner and a movie never happened. Laser Tag was too fun and lasted like 2 1/2 longer than expected. Went to dinner with new friends from T.A.G. afterward.)
Sunday, July 13, 2008
Time to have a great day on my Sunday. On the agenda:
- A few household chores
- Talk to a certain new “friend”
- Adult Drunken Laser Tag!
- This eve it is a toss up. Either 1. Go out with said new “friend”. OR 2. Dinner and a movie with other friends. I’ll let you know how it goes!
